A subversive, proudly off-kilter anthology from Last Gasp that ran for 28 issues between 1981 and 1993, Weirdo served as a vital outlet for the raw, confessional, and often absurd edges of underground comix. Spearheaded by Robert Crumb and Aline Kominsky-Crumb, with frequent contributions from Kaz Prapuolenis, the series showcased a rotating cast of recurring characters—including the Crumbs themselves, Prof. T. E. Zwigoff, Dori Seda, and The Bunch—alongside a wild mix of autobiographical comics, satire, and outsider art.
