Weird Tales of the Future

Published by Stanley Morse from 1952 to 1953, Weird Tales of the Future ran for eight issues of science-fiction and horror comics. The series is most associated with the distinctive, grotesque artwork of Basil Wolverton, who both wrote and drew for the title alongside regular artists Tony Mortellaro and Eugene E. Hughes. It stands as a brief but memorable example of pre-Code genre comics, showcasing the unhinged creativity that flourished before the Comics Code Authority tightened its grip.
