Watson and Holmes

In 2013, New Paradigm Studios launched Watson and Holmes, a modernized, independent comic series that relocates the classic detective duo to present-day Harlem, New York. Written by Karl Bollers and illustrated by Rick Leonardi, the series reimagines Jon Watson as an Afghan War veteran and private investigator, with Sherlock Holmes as his brilliant but troubled partner. Over its six-issue run, the book earned acclaim for its bold, culturally grounded take on the source material, offering a fresh and thoughtful entry in the long tradition of Holmes adaptations.
