Satoshi Kon's sole completed manga, Watashi wa Shingo (2000–present, Shogakukan), is a speculative drama spanning seven issues in which a lonely factory worker and a young girl form a profound bond with an industrial robot named Shingo. Serialized in Big Comic Spirits, the series explores themes of consciousness and connection through a sparse, emotionally charged narrative. Though unfinished, it remains a key work from the visionary creator of Perfect Blue and Paprika, offering a quieter, more melancholic side of his storytelling.
