Warlord

Mike Grell’s Warlord ran for five issues from 1981 to 1982, published by Arédit-Artima. The series follows the sword-and-sorcery adventures of Travis Morgan, a pilot stranded in the hidden world of Skartaris. Grell, who both wrote and illustrated the run, brought his signature blend of epic fantasy and gritty realism to the title. This short-lived but distinctive series stands as a key example of early-80s European-licensed American comics.
