Based on the 1981 Disney film, this three-issue Western Publishing series follows Woody, a cartoonist whose drawings come to life, transforming him into the superhero Condorman. Writer George Kashdan and artist Frank Bolle brought the lighthearted espionage and slapstick action of the movie to the comic page. It’s a curious, short-lived artifact of Disney’s early-80s push into superhero-adjacent storytelling.
