About the series
In 2005, Sanoma launched the Finnish-language edition of W.I.T.C.H., titled Viiden voima, adapting the globally popular Italian fantasy series for a new audience. This five-issue run follows five teenage girls who are chosen to become Guardians of the Veil, each wielding elemental magic to protect both their world and the magical realm of Meridian. The series is a key part of the international W.I.T.C.H. phenomenon, which blended superhero action with tween drama and friendship, and was especially noted for its stylish art and strong female leads.
