About the series
During its 2003–2011 run at Dargaud, W.E.S.T. was a six-issue French comics series that reimagined the American Old West with a heavy dose of supernatural and science-fiction elements, following a secret government agency tasked with protecting the frontier from otherworldly threats. The series is best remembered for the collaborative work of writer Xavier Dorison and artist Christian Rossi, whose expressive, detailed artwork brought a gritty, cinematic quality to the weird-west genre. It stands as a notable European take on the Western, blending historical adventure with genre-bending fantasy.
