Vortex

Vortex (1982–1988) was an anthology anthology series from the Canadian publisher of the same name, offering a showcase for alternative and experimental comics. Over 15 issues, the title featured work by Ken Steacy, Deborah and Bill Marks, alongside early contributions from Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez before their Love and Rockets fame, with Joe Haidar also a frequent artist. It stands as a key artifact of the 1980s small-press scene, blending genre stories with the emerging indie sensibility of the era.
