Vom Winde verweht

In this German-language adaptation of Margaret Mitchell's epic, the first two issues of Vom Winde verweht (published by Splitter Verlag beginning in 2023) bring the antebellum South and the Civil War's upheaval to comics form. The series is most associated with writer Pierre Alary and artist Vincent Wagner, who translate the sprawling romance and survival story of Scarlett O'Hara into a lush, sequential-art narrative. Though early in its run, it represents a notable European graphic novel treatment of a classic American literary property.
