About the series
A Danish comic series from Semic, Viggo ran for 18 issues between 1986 and 1993, collecting the madcap adventures of the hapless title character and his long-suffering sidekick, Kvikk. The series is most strongly associated with the Belgian master André Franquin, whose energetic, expressive artwork and slapstick storytelling define its core tone. Norwegian writer and artist Ragnar Myklebust also contributed to the series, adding a distinct local flavor to these classic European comic capers.
