About the series
In 2003, DC's Vertigo imprint launched this four-issue miniseries, a standalone crime thriller from writer Jonathan Vankin and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli. Set against the neon-lit, seedy underbelly of Bangkok, the story follows a disgraced American journalist ensnared in a web of sex trafficking, corruption, and dangerous double-crosses. Part of Vertigo's short-lived "Pop!" series—a line of globe-trotting, pop-culture-infused noir—this title captures the imprint's early-2000s appetite for gritty, international pulp.
