Venus Wars

In the mid-1990s, Egmont Ehapa published this five-issue miniseries adapting the anime film Venus Wars. Set on a terraformed Venus, it follows the brutal conflict between two rival nations, Ishtar and Aphrodia, as they wage war with futuristic hoverbikes and heavy artillery. The story centers on a young motorcycle racer thrust into the chaos of battle, exploring themes of survival and loyalty. Though a short run, it remains a notable example of European comics bringing Japanese sci-fi to a new audience.
