Venture

In the mid-1980s, AC Comics launched Venture, a three-issue series that served as a showcase for a rotating cast of heroes, including Kevin Mondell, Mitchell Cameron, and the lightning-speed Bolt. Written and drawn by a team that included Phil White, Bill Black, Mark Propst, and a very early-career Erik Larsen, the title offered a quick burst of creator-driven superhero action typical of the independent boom. Though brief, Venture is notable for capturing Larsen's raw, emerging style and for spotlighting a small but energetic corner of the AC universe.
