Vanikoro

In Vanikoro (2023–present), Silvester launches a historical mystery set in the aftermath of the doomed Lapérouse expedition. Writer Frederik van Wonterghem and artist Patrick Prugne, who also contributes to the script, collaborate to explore the fate of the vanished ships and their crew on a remote Pacific island. Prugne’s evocative watercolor style brings a moody, atmospheric quality to this grounded adventure, as the series pieces together clues from the wreck of a lost French voyage. It’s a quietly compelling entry for fans of historically rooted comics.
