Välart

Swedish cartoonist Joakim Lindengren’s Välart ran for five issues from 1987 to 1990, published by Ego Center. A surreal, satirical comic strip series, it follows the absurd adventures of its titular character in a world blending deadpan humor with social commentary. Lindengren’s distinctive, minimalist art and offbeat storytelling made Välart a cult touchstone of the late-80s Swedish alternative comics scene.
