About the series

In the late-1980s, the French publisher Glénat launched Vécu, a long-running comics anthology that ran for 58 issues through 1994. Primarily written by Stan Barets, Guy Betchel, and Jean-Claude Carrière, and illustrated by François Dimberton, the series is best known as the home of the globe-trotting spy Max Fridman. A key title in the European adventure-comics tradition, Vécu offered readers a mix of historical and espionage stories during its decade-long run.
