About the series
In the mid-1980s, Swedish publisher Hemmets Journal released the four-issue series Ur Farbror Joakims skattkammare, a treasury of Disney adventures headlined by Scrooge McDuck (Farbror Joakim) and Donald Duck (Kalle Anka). The stories were crafted by a team of prolific European creators—primarily writers Miquel Pujol and Adolf Kabatek, with artists José Miguel Tortajada Aguilar, Marçal Abella Brescó, and César Ferioli—bringing a distinct Continental flair to the classic duck tales. This short-lived but fondly remembered run offered readers a compact, high-quality collection of Scandinavian-era Disney comics.
