Unbound Saga

In 2009, Dark Horse debuted Unbound Saga, a single-issue comic by writer Mike Kennedy and artist Cliff Richards that served as a prequel to the video game of the same name. Set in a world where comic book characters are aware of their own fictional nature, the story follows the muscular hero Rick Ajax as he rebels against his creator. This short-lived release offers a self-contained glimpse into a meta-action premise that never expanded beyond its inaugural issue.
