About the series
A tense, visceral horror-action series from Image that launched in 2021, Ultramega reimagines the kaiju genre through a brutal, body-horror lens. Written and drawn by James Harren, the story follows a handful of individuals who can transform into giant, monstrous forms to battle cataclysmic entities—but at a gruesome cost to their humanity. Though only two issues in as of this writing, its raw, kinetic art and grimly inventive premise have already marked it as a distinctive, unsettling addition to modern monster comics.
