U-Comix Spezial

A German-language anthology series running eight issues between 1989 and 1992, U-Comix Spezial was a companion publication from Kunst der Comics / Alpha that showcased adult-oriented, experimental, and international comic work. The series is best remembered for its eclectic mix of European and American alternative creators, offering a platform for boundary-pushing stories that ranged from surreal humor to psychological drama. While the core U-Comix line had established a reputation for sophisticated genre comics, this special edition expanded the palette with longer-form narratives and a more art-house sensibility.
