U-Comix Sonderband

U-Comix Sonderband, published by Volksverlag from 1973 to 1982, was a West German anthology series that brought underground comix sensibilities to a European audience across 36 issues. The series drew heavily on the work of American counterculture cartoonists, with Ron Cobb, Dave Sheridan, and Bobby London among its most frequent contributors. It served as a vital bridge between the U.S. underground scene and German readers, offering a raw, satirical, and often politically charged alternative to mainstream comics.
