About the series
From 1951 to 1953, Toby Press published just three issues of Two-Bit the Wacky Woodpecker, a short-lived but charming animal comic starring a mischievous, Peck-like bird. The series is most closely associated with cartoonists David Tendlar and Dick Moores, who brought a lively, slapstick energy to its pages typical of the era's funny-animal comics.
