Stan Sakai’s Turtle Soup (1987–present, Mirage) is a one-issue anthology of short stories starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—Donatello, Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Raphael—with Sakai writing and illustrating the entire volume. A light, character-focused detour from the main Mirage series, it showcases Sakai’s clean linework and knack for concise, playful tales. Though brief, it’s a charming snapshot of the Turtles’ early days, notable for being an all-Sakai effort before his legendary Usagi Yojimbo run.
