True Romance

In the late 1940s, K. G. Murray published two issues of True Romance, a comic that adapted the conventions of romance confession magazines into sequential art. The Iger Shop, a prolific production studio, provided the artwork for both issues, giving the series a polished, house-style look typical of the era. Though brief, it stands as an early Australian foray into the romance comic genre, reflecting the post-war appetite for sentimental, relationship-driven stories.
