Tripalong Hoppity

Frank Johnson Publications launched this single-issue series in 1940, a brief but curious entry in the early days of funny animal comics. The title character, Tripalong Hoppity, is a rabbit adventurer whose name nods to the popular western hero Hopalong Cassidy. While the series never continued, it remains a footnote for collectors of golden-age oddities and Johnson's short-lived publishing line.
