About the series
Warren Ellis and artist Darick Robertson launched Transmetropolitan at DC's Helix imprint in 1998, a cyberpunk satire following gonzo journalist Spider Jerusalem through a dystopian near-future. Over eleven issues, the series—with additional contributions from Darren Aronofsky, Jaime Hernandez, and John Cassaday—blended blistering political commentary with visceral, inventive artwork. It remains a defining work of late-90s comics, celebrated for its unflinching look at media, corruption, and the power of the truth.
