Toxic Crusaders

Toxic Crusaders (1992–present) from Fleetway Publications is a chaotic, pun-filled comic series based on the animated spin-off of Troma Entertainment's cult film franchise. Spanning 10 issues, it follows the grotesque yet heroic Toxie and his mutant allies as they battle pollution and villainy in a deliberately over-the-top, satirical tone. The series is best known for its partnership with writer/artist Peter Laird, who brought the same irreverent energy he lent to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
