Total Whiteout

From 2001 onward, Graphitti Designs published this single-issue comic by writer Greg Rucka and artist Steve Lieber. A taut, self-contained thriller set in the frozen Antarctic, it follows a U.S. marshal investigating a murder at a remote research station during the months-long polar night. Lieber's stark, expressive artwork and Rucka's lean, atmospheric storytelling make this a standout example of crime fiction in the wilderness.
