About the series
A 16-issue British comic series from the mid-1970s, Topaventura was a war-adventure strip most frequently written by Scott Goodall and drawn by Joe Colquhoun. It followed the exploits of a commando unit in the Burma campaign of World War II, with Colquhoun’s gritty, detailed artwork bringing the jungle warfare to visceral life. Though relatively short-lived, the series is notable for being an early collaboration between Goodall and Colquhoun, who would later become renowned for their work on Charley’s War.
