About the series
Published by Ernst G. Mortensen from 1949 to 1951, Tom Pus is a brief, three-issue Norwegian comic series written and drawn by the celebrated Dutch creator Marten Toonder. The series follows the adventures of its titular character, a cat, in a lighthearted, whimsical style typical of Toonder's work. Though short-lived, it represents an interesting cross-cultural moment in European comics, as Toonder—best known for his long-running Tom Poes series—adapted his feline hero for a Norwegian audience.
