Tom Poes Weekblad

From 1947 to 1951, the Dutch publisher Toonder studio's released 188 issues of Tom Poes Weekblad, a weekly comic anthology built around the beloved animal duo Tom Poes and Olivier B. Bommel. The series also serialized adventures of Eric de Noorman, Piloot Storm, and Tonto, with creative duties rotating among a core team including Frits Godhelp, Wim Lensen, Fran Striker, and Charles Flanders. This postwar periodical helped cement the Toonder studio's reputation for charming, all-ages fantasy and adventure storytelling, offering a consistent dose of whimsy and heroics to Dutch readers.
