Marten Toonder’s beloved Dutch comic series Tom Poes was revived by Wolters-Noordhoff in 1981 for a compact four-issue run, reuniting readers with the clever cat Tom Poes and his blustery bear friend Olivier B. Bommel. Toonder, the series’ sole writer and artist, distilled his signature blend of whimsical adventure and gentle satire into these later adventures.
