A Spanish-language edition of CLAMP’s supernatural thriller, Tokyo Babylon follows Subaru Sumeragi, a young onmyōji, as he confronts dark spiritual forces in 1990s Tokyo. Published by Planeta DeAgostini in a compact 11-issue run from 1996 to 1997, this series introduced many readers outside Japan to CLAMP’s signature blend of stylish character design, urban mysticism, and tragic romance. Its quiet, melancholic tone and exploration of fate and sacrifice would prove foundational to the creators’ later, more sprawling epics.
