Tits & Clits
Nanny Goat Productions · 1972–1977 · 3 issues
About the series
One of the earliest and most defiantly independent underground comix series, Tits & Clits ran for three issues from 1972 to 1977 under Nanny Goat Productions. Created and primarily written and drawn by Joyce Farmer and Lyn Chevli, with a third issue contribution from Roberta Gregory, the book was a raw, feminist response to the male-dominated underground scene, unapologetically centering women's perspectives on sexuality, bodily autonomy, and everyday life. It featured the recurring character Mary Multipary, and its unflinching, often satirical approach helped pave the way for women cartoonists to claim their own space in the medium.
