About the series
In the early 1970s, Dargaud published Tintin l'Hebdoptimiste, a short-lived weekly comic magazine that ran for 140 issues. Though it shared a name with the famous Belgian series, this French publication was most notably associated with the legendary Italian cartoonist Hugo Pratt, who served as both the primary writer and artist. The magazine offered a platform for Pratt's sophisticated, globe-trotting adventure stories during a fertile period of his career, bridging his earlier work with the later masterpieces that would define his legacy.
