Debuting in 1967 from De Spaarnestad, Tina was a long-running Dutch comic series that centered on the adventures of spirited teenager Tina Ruysdal and her circle of friends, including Alf, Bob, Lex, Peggy Lucas, and Pinky. Over 244 issues, the series showcased the work of frequent writer Jenny Butterworth and artist Trini Tinturé, whose warm, expressive linework defined the strip's look alongside contributions from Robert MacGillivray and Alberto Salinas. A beloved fixture of Dutch comics until 1972, Tina remains a charming snapshot of late-1960s youth culture and a testament to the international collaboration that shaped European girls' comics.
