About the series
Lyman Young’s newspaper strip hero Tim Tyler made the leap to his own comic book series from Pines, running just eight issues from 1948 to 1950. With Young handling the writing and sharing art duties with Nat Edson, the book followed the globe-trotting adventures of the young adventurer. Though brief, the series offered a tidy, self-contained chapter of mid-century adventure comics for fans of the strip.
