From 1959 to 1976, the Belgian publisher Atar released 200 issues of Tim, a comics series showcasing the adventurous exploits of the boy detective Tim and his loyal dog Struppi, alongside supporting figures Schultze and Schulze. The series is most closely associated with the iconic work of Hergé, whose clean ligne claire style defined its visual identity, though artists Raymond Macherot and Fred Funcken also contributed significantly across the run. As a long-running anthology-style title, Tim stands as a key document of mid-century European adventure comics, blending mystery and humor in a format that helped shape the region's comic strip tradition.
