Three-D Three Stooges

From 1986 to 1987, Eclipse Comics brought the slapstick chaos of the Three Stooges to a new medium with Three-D Three Stooges, a three-issue series that required special 3D glasses to fully appreciate the eye-poking, pie-throwing mayhem. Written and co-illustrated by longtime Stooges collaborator Norman Maurer—who had worked closely with the trio for decades—alongside artist Richard Pine, the book faithfully captured the anarchic spirit of Moe, Larry, and Curly in original comic adventures. Though brief, this series stands as a unique, gimmick-driven tribute to the enduring legacy of comedy’s most iconic knuckleheads.
