In 1988, Brazilian publisher Editora Abril brought the God of Thunder to local newsstands with a six-issue series, reprinting classic Thor adventures for a new audience. This short-lived but significant run introduced Portuguese-speaking readers to the epic Asgardian mythology and cosmic-scale heroics that defined the character's Silver and Modern Age stories. Though brief, it stands as a key piece of Abril's broader effort to make Marvel's core superhero titles accessible in Brazil during the late 80s.
