About the series
From 2018 onward, Jan Gerhard Toonder revived the classic Dutch comic strip Thijs IJs for a three-issue run under the Panda imprint, with artwork by Marten Toonder and Phiny Dick. This modern continuation of the beloved series, originally created by Marten Toonder and Phiny Dick, brings back the witty, anthropomorphic adventures of the titular polar bear in a charmingly nostalgic yet fresh style.
