In this 2014 one-shot from IDW, writer Ed Brisson and artist Michael Walsh bring together the paranormal investigators of The X-Files and the half-shell heroes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a single-issue crossover. The story finds Mulder and Scully following a trail of strange mutations that leads them to an unexpected encounter with the Turtles in the sewers of New York. A brisk, fun team-up that plays on the conspiracy-laden tones of both franchises, it’s a neat, self-contained meeting of two very different worlds.
