About the series
In this two-issue DC miniseries from 2007–2008, writer Judd Winick and artist Howard Porter put the Marvel Family through a rigorous test of worthiness. The story follows Freddy Freeman, formerly Captain Marvel Jr., as he undertakes a series of trials to prove himself as the new bearer of the wizard Shazam's power. It's a compact, character-driven arc that redefines the legacy of the Big Red Cheese for a new era.
