The Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

In 2014, IDW pitted two of Hasbro’s biggest toy lines against each other in a delirious, 13-issue crossover series. Written and drawn by Tom Scioli, with co-writer John Barber, The Transformers vs. G.I. Joe mashed up robots in disguise with real American heroes in a wild, Kirby-esque adventure that embraced the over-the-top spirit of both franchises. Scioli’s bombastic, psychedelic art and off-kilter storytelling made this a cult favorite among fans who love their cosmic battles with a side of pure, unapologetic fun.
