About the series
A paranoid, black-and-white science-fiction thriller from the late 1980s, The Silent Invasion follows a journalist who uncovers a secret alien infiltration of Earth, with the extraterrestrials hiding in plain sight by possessing human bodies. Published by Renegade Press over twelve issues, the series was primarily written by Larry Hancock, Michael Cherkas, and John Ellis Sech, with Cherkas providing the moody, atmospheric artwork. Its Cold War-era anxieties about surveillance and loss of identity give the story a chilling, timeless relevance.
