The Saint

In 1950, Frew Publications launched an Australian comic series adapting the adventures of Simon Templar, the dashing rogue known as The Saint. Writer Leslie Charteris, the character's creator, oversaw the stories, while artist John Spranger brought Templar's globe-trotting exploits to life across its initial 11-issue run. This series stands as a key early example of licensed comic adaptations, bringing a beloved literary hero to a new medium and audience.
