About the series
In the late 1970s, Charlton Comics gave the Peacemaker his own short-lived series, a two-issue run written by Joe Gill with art by Bill Montes and Pat Boyette. This Modern-era title starred Christopher Smith, a man who wields a unique arsenal of non-lethal weapons in his quest for global peace. Though brief, the series cemented the character's distinctive, conflicted ethos—a pacifist willing to fight for his ideals—which would later echo through the wider comics landscape.
