The Original Nexus

From 1985 onward, Graphitti Designs published a single-issue comic titled The Original Nexus, a foundational entry in the creator-owned superhero universe of artist Steve Rude. This series reintroduced the fan-favorite cosmic vigilante Nexus, a reluctant hero burdened with executing mass murderers, in a concise, self-contained story that showcases Rude's distinctive, fluid linework and bold character designs. Though brief in length, this issue is a key artifact of the independent comics boom of the mid-1980s, capturing the raw energy and artistic ambition that made Nexus a cult classic.
