About the series
In the wake of "Civil War," Matt Fraction launched this 10-issue Marvel series spotlighting a new, government-sanctioned super-team assembled from the ashes of the Initiative. With art by Barry Kitson, Javier Saltares, and Khari Evans, The Order (2007–2008) followed a handpicked squad of Los Angeles-based heroes—including a reinvented Doctor Voodoo and a new Ant-Man—tasked with protecting the city while navigating their own complicated lives and the weight of corporate sponsorship. It’s a sharp, character-driven exploration of celebrity, duty, and what it means to be a hero in a world where the line between public service and public spectacle has blurred.
